At the beginning of 2025, we started building ponds. As part of this activity, 30 ponds will be created in 6 locations by the end of March. These small water reservoirs will strengthen amphibian populations, in particular the fire-bellied toad Bombina bombina 1180 and the crested newt Triturus cristatus 1166. They will also provide shelter for invertebrate populations, including the Anisus vorticulus 4056, the Leucorrhinia pectoralis 1042 and the Graphoferus bilineatus 1082. The construction of these reservoirs should be particularly helpful during periods of drought, when most of the suitable habitats for these species dry up and prevent reproduction.
