How to get there?

From Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW)

By public transport: Take city bus line 148 from the airport stop “Lotnisko Chopina – Przyloty 02” in the direction of Wiatraczna. Get off at the Ciszewskiego stop. From there, it’s about a 5‑minute walk to the Water Centre (follow Ciszewskiego Street).

By taxi: taxis and app-based services (e.g. Bolt, Uber, FreeNow) are available in front of the terminal; the ride to the Water Centre (SGGW campus, Ursynów) is about 15–20 minutes, depending on traffic.

From Warsaw Modlin Airport (WMI)

By train:

  1. Warsaw Modlin Airport does not have a direct railway connection. Just in front of the terminal, you need to take a special airport bus (a white bus with a yellow sun – see the photo below) to the Modlin railway station. The bus is synchronized with the train timetable and the ride takes about 10 minutes.
  2. There are several train lines from Modlin to Warsaw. Some reach the city centre from the east, others from the south, but the easiest way to get to SGGW is to take the RL line (a white train with green and yellow – Koleje Mazowieckie (KM)) in the direction of Chopin Airport. This line runs approximately once per hour and the journey takes about 63 minutes.
  3. At Warszawa Służewiec station, you need to change to bus 401 towards Ursynów Płd. and get off at the Ciszewskiego stop, which is located right next to the Water Center. The bus ride takes about 16 minutes.
  4. For this trip, you can buy a special airport ticket for 22.40 PLN. It covers the airport bus, the KM train, and Warsaw public transport (bus, tram, metro, SKM trains) for 75 minutes from the moment you validate the ticket (when entering Warsaw public transport).

By bus:

Tere are also two private bus operators offering travel to Warsaw. For more info please visit: https://en.modlinairport.pl/page/bus

By taxi:

There are several taxi companies cooperating with the airport, and you will find their cars directly in front of the terminal. Other operators, such as Uber, may not be allowed to enter the area next to the terminal, so you might need to walk a few minutes to reach their pick‑up point. The driving time is around 50 minutes, depending on traffic conditions, and the price is approximately 300 PLN (day rate).
