We are pleased to announce that the private land purchase activities, undertaken as a part of the „Kampinos Wetlands” project are officially over. In total 142 ha of fen-meadows, which are situated directly along the Łasica and Zaborowski channels, have been purchased in the Leszno and Brochów municipalities. Almost all land, which has been intended for the buyback, was successfully purchased. It needs to be emphasized that all transactions were fully voluntary and that the landowners and inhabitants have been requesting the buyback for years, due to frequent flooding. For the first time in the history of land purchase in the Kampinoski National Park, such a big, cohesive area could be bought from many owners. It will allow conducting wetland protection and management activities, without the risk of having a negative impact on the private land.
