Between 22–24 April 2026, an international meeting of individuals involved in the implementation of LIFE Programme projects took place in SGGW, Warsaw, focusing on nature conservation as well as climate change mitigation and adaptation. Meeting was organized as a part of the Kampinos WetLIFE project.
The event brought together approximately 85 participants from Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia. The meeting provided a platform for networking and for exchanging knowledge and experiences among teams implementing similar initiatives across the Central and Eastern Europe region.
The programme also included presentations by representatives of the European Commission on current LIFE calls for proposals and funding priorities in the fields of environment and climate action.
An important component of the event was a series of four field visits showcasing the results of LIFE projects implemented in Warsaw and its surrounding areas, including the Kampinos WetLIFE project. This excursion attracted the greatest interest among participants.
We would like to sincerely thank all participants, as well as our co-organisers – the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) and the Kampinos National Park (KPN).
